Not content with destroying Dragon Ball, Hollywood is now reportedly going after another Japanese manga, Bleach. Yes, it was on reported on various websites weeks ago I thought it was a joke but Warner Bros. is reportedly serious with the Bleach Live Action Movie proposal. The studio is now in the process of securing the rights to the movie according to Animenewsnetwork. If Tite Kubo stays true to his earlier statement, this won't happen. Don't trust Hollywood with Asian remakes!!
Bleach has a convoluted story, how could the producers squeeze it in just two hours? If they do that many things will have to go (even if they choose one arc or part of an arc to work on). Bleach Live Action Movie sounds promising but when you think about it deeply, can it translate well on the big screen? As expected Bleach fans, after the trauma of Dragonball Evolution, are furious about it.
Even before this fiasco came out, Tite Kubo, the creator of the series, is already opposed to any Bleach Live Action Movie remakes. "If it were possible to do 'Bleach' as a live-action movie, I wouldn't have drawn the manga. I want to draw something that can only be done as a manga." Kubo told the Los Angeles Times almost two years ago.
Aere of Ann translated Tite Kubo's tweet on the matter: I was thinking of ignoring or overlooking this matter, but there's been an increase of tweets about it, so I'll write down (what I think). The matter in question is a movie, but there've been discussions going on since much earlier. From what I understand, though - since there has been no talk about it yet - I can't say anything. Please await the official announcement. I trust you'll understand the situation. From now on, there won't be any talking about this matter here."
You know what while Hollywood runs out of ideas, it never seems to run out of money.

All we have to do is that cross our finger. I felt very skeptical too, but let's try to look on positive side until the cast and director annouce.
If they do that goddanm white casting again, I'd yell 'F--k you' to Hollywood.
Here's my question: WTF happened to Tite Kubo? How the hell that hollywood raped Alan Moore of japanese comic book series? what the hell was happened?
