Let me bump down the Spanish losers down there with this great report I failed to feature yesterday. Please enjoy the Mongolian's gold winning performance.

Mongolia won its first Olympic gold and China its second of the games after two Japanese contenders crashed with first-round losses on the judo mats Thursday.

Mongolia got its first Olympic gold from Tuvshinbayar Naidan, who defeated Kazakhstan's Askhat Zhitkeyev in the men's 100-kilogram class.

"The first thing I thought of was my parents and my coach," said Naidan, who bolsters his judo with elements of traditional Mongolian wrestling. Mongolia has won medals in wrestling, boxing, shooting and judo in previous games, but never a gold.

The Olympic victory touched off celebrations by thousands in the central square of Ulan Bator, Mongolia's capital. Fireworks boomed, car horns blared and people celebrated by downing vodka. Second Naruto Shippūden movie to open in Japan on August 2

The official Japanese website for the Naruto Shippūden: Kizuna film is streaming its first full trailer. The Kizuna (Bonds) film will still star the title ninja character Naruto, but will also feature Sasuke, the longtime rival and occasional ally of Naruto. This is the second film based on the Naruto Shippūden revamp of the series, and it will open in Japan on August 2. The one-minute, 30-second trailer includes the film's theme song, "No Rain No Rainbow" by Home Made Kazoku (Home Made Family).

Viz Media is releasing the second movie based on the original Naruto anime and manga series, Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel, on North American DVD on July 29.

The Naruto-Sasuke saga is one of the greatest story arcs in anime history. One man is bent on revenge and the other is determined to bring his friend back. I hope Naruto will be able to save Sasuke and not have the same fate of his master Jiraiya who failed to rescue his own friend Orochimaru. Naruto Shippuden is filled with drama and powerful dialogues that it can beat any local drama in depth of storytelling - and to think its an anime!

STORIES OF SURVIVAL: DOLPHIN DIES SAVING FISHERMAN

Stories about dolphins helping humans in distress became a reality for one fisherman whose fishing boat capsized Saturday in the Visayan Sea after being hammered by Typhoon Frank.

A dolphin rescued Joseph Cesdorio, 34, a fisherman from Cebu who was among the crew members of the F/B Nicole Louise 2, a Cadiz-based fishing boat.

Unfortunately, Cesdorio and the dolphin died, upon reaching the shoreline of Burias Island in Masbate, Roberto Caratao, a survivor, told reporters in Cadiz City yesterday.

He saw the adult-sized dolphin pushing and trying to carry on his back Cesdorio who was still alive then, towards the shoreline of Burias Island, Caratao said.

But both later died and were buried together in Burias Island, he said.

Whether true or not, the people in the island believe some animals do tend to help human beings besides serving as food or pet. Unfortunately, some humans return the favor by eating them whether or not these animals are really delicacy citing poverty as the reason. Yes, it is a fair rationalization but DOLPHINS are not meant for eating. There are many fish in the sea (and dolphins are mammals anyway I wonder why some eat them) - literally.

I'm not surprised by the report ever since I was young I was told of a story of a fisherman who was saved from a shark by a fish locally known as "Palad". The creatures covered him and the shark missed the human.

Note: Palad is a wide-bodied fish. A school of it could actually hide something whether a human being or other things. The fisherman in the story also made a vow not to eat Palad again.
