Alleged Ex-lovers Yamashita Tomohisa and Keiko Kitagawa will star in a new drama with working title "Buzzer Beat Gakeppuchi No Hero". It is about a salaryman (Yamapi) who plays for his company's basketball team. He chokes at clutch moments of his life be it romance or work. Keiko Kitagawa plays a cheerful and spirited girl who isn't straightforward.
To act the part properly, Yamapi is undergoing training for two weeks (most likely in basketball).
Other actors include: Saki Aibu (Yamapi's GF in the series) Hideaki Ito (simply put the other guy)
Japanese dorama Buzzer Beat will air in July.
Keiko Kitagawa is one of the most beautiful Japanese actress and I first saw her in Tokyo Drift. I don't see her much in Japanese Doramas and I only saw her in Mop Girl and one-time in Sailor Moon. She looks good in Sailor Moon costume.
Buzzer Beat ~Gakkeppuchi No Hero~ - I'm looking forward to this drama. I'm hoping this will be a light drama with many comic scenes. I can't confirm this "ex-lovers" tag but some fans insist that they were a couple. We'll see. Buzzer Beat got my attention as is it about basketball - one of my fave sports - and Keiko. Again, the producers have to ensure that it is still basketball and not some Nickelodeon version like in this drama where the players jump so high they can touch the sky. In short, make it realistic!
There's a war out there! It is a very brutal war - and its going on world wide. Is it World War Three? No, worse it is more like the battle between fans of two of the most popular Korean girl bands - Wonder Girls and Girls Generation. Whenever I visit Youtube or other discussion forums the respective groups fangirls and fanboys attack each other silly. I just can't help but notice for I can't believe their fans' fanaticism. This is not good natured teasing but hardcore hatred! It was reported the fighting was so bad forum moderators had to close the two girl groups discussion boards on Soompi.com.

During the opening of the concert, approximately 20 fans were injured and rushed to the hospital. The injuries occurred as fan clubs were fighting over their idols as well as for seats.
To make matters worse, while Girls' Generation performed for a duration of 10 minutes, all of the male idol group fan clubs turned off their glow sticks, as well as "boo-ed" the girls.
To be fair to the two groups, fans of other groups got in the act too. Of course, the respective groups would definitely defend their fans. The Wonder Girls stated, "If the fans are true music lovers, we wish they would just love music and get along with each other." In addition, "We are really thankful to our fans, the Wonderfuls. Although they too were involved with the incident at the Dream Concert, compared to other fan clubs they were a lot milder and gentler.

To think, the girls represent some sort of clean fun and joy. Their fans apparently don't get what the two girl groups represent.
This is not strictly a Korean phenomenon although physical fighting among pop group fans is nonexistent in other nations - it is usually fans of other music genre like rock and hiphop who cause mayhem. In the U.S. and Mexico, emo devotees are the target of violence by fans of metal and punk rock (see EMO wars).
The Japanese don't have girl power bands such as these (and no violence too). I think it is completely a Korean domain - and they attract followers Koreans and non-Koreans alike. I reckon there are many pretty Korean ladies to fill even more girl bands (recently a new group was launched) but every time I say that someone would post - it must be plastic surgery. I cannot disagree but not all of them - they are more than you think.

To be brutally frank about it, I like the Wonder Girls more. I marvel at Korea's ability to come up with many female idol groups and having real beauties in it too.
No wonder the Japanese actor Yamapi got beaten up. He was in Korea for a private visit according to Japantoday - so he didn't bring his security detail and his manager! He should have known not to take chances. Yamapi became the latest victim of fangirling.

Talk about obsessive fangirling, the guy in this video is a Japanese actor named Yamashita Tomohisa or to his fans, Yamapi. When he arrived in Korea, he was warmly welcomed. The welcome was so warm his fans almost pulled his clothes and groped him. Scary! The fans unintentionally hurt their idol.

Yamashita Tomohisa was stormed by the crazy little Korean fan girls who grabbed and groped at the top star, tearing away his clothes. The fans also hit the star on his head with presents they were trying to throw at him.
Although the entire situation was extremely dangerous, Yamashita Tomohisa stayed calm, waved at the fans and even helped pick up fans who had fallen down. As soon as he had made it thru the gate however, Tomohisa's legs gave out and he had collapsed for a little bit. Yamashita Tomohisa remained cool and calm, but his accompanying friends were extremely angered by the behavior of these Korean fans.
