So NOT Excited Over Obama's Inauguration!!!

I don't understand the excitement and hysteria some Filipinos feel (esp. the TV networks) over Barack Obama's inauguration tonight. Big deal! If anything change will happen in the US - not here where it is awfully needed. Some of my friends and family members are joining the EXODUS - however this time not led by MOSES - after they realized their future is abroad. They think better life could be achieved going overseas. What I'm saying is why would I be excited over the inauguration of another country's president? My feeling is the same as the Americans feel whenever we sworn a new president into office. This guy hates outsourcing - one of few remaining bright spots for our economy. He views it as stealing from American jobs. Why would I be excited over a guy who will wipe out approximately 200,000 jobs if given a chance? YES HE CAN!!!

I don't understand the fuss over strengthening US-RP relations since MASTER - SLAVE relationship never really changed. This is just a new master taking his crown. What's to be excited all about?

Congratulations to Barack Obama though. I tend to look at him as an inspiration from a personal standpoint - how he sets goals and accomplishes it and I also like his speeches. His speeches supposedly give hope - to his constituents of course. I'm not forgetting he is a politician though and we have a share of great swi...speakers. Let's see if he can fulfill his promise to Filipino war veterans who fought for the United States but were ostracized after it. The proof of the pudding is in the eating so to speak. He is an inspiration but he is not our hope.

Note: Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to proofread this. Sorry my readers for possible grammatical errors.

To be fair 75% of the Filipino people don't care about him and his inauguration. It just these networks who want to show off in their coverage! GMA 7 didn't even bother to cover the flooding in Mindanao until it got hold of the situation from ABS-CBN footages but sent correspondents to the US inauguration.

US Comedians Sad that Bush's Gone

Yes, US comedians like John Leno, Jon Stewart, and Bill Mahler have expressed sadness over George Bush's leaving the White House. They say they may have a hard time writing jokes in the Obama Administration whose leader Barack Obama has a reputation of seriousness and intelligence unlike if it was the John McCain and Sarah Palin ticket who won. On the bright side John Leno said if one door closes another opens and there is a reason why Obama picked Joe Biden for his Vice-President. Trust me, as long as there are politicians there'll be unlimited supply of jokes available to comedians.

From cnn.com

King:
You recently issued one of your new rules decreeing that Obama must give comedians something to work with. Any suggestions?

Maher: No. It's very difficult. We have been spoiled, first with Bill Clinton and then George Bush. And here's a president now who -- he's not stupid. He's not angry. He's not a phony. He's not fat. He's not cheating on his wife. But look, he's going to be the president and we're going to have to get over our nervousness about making fun of a black person. He's not a black person. He's the president.

It's hard to see the supplier of jokes gone. Adios Dubya. Frankly speaking, I admire the persona of this guy but not his policies.

I saw Barack Obama make jokes today and unfortunately, he is not good at it yet. He had to apologize for one of his cracks. Man, I think he called himself "mutt". Mr. Obama please stop the depreciating humor. It doesn't inspire respect. Actually, I was surprised at his mutt joke. Anyway, he has four years to straighthen his comic ability. Barack Obama has no natural comic ability like George Bush who is funny whether he intends to or not. Even nature makes fun of him (Sparrow owns George Bush).

Barack Obama has a lot of things to fix thanks to George Bush.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." LOL

Obama can't possibly top that!!!

There were some Bush policies that I agree with and I don't think this guy is really evil or not bright. I won't definitely underestimate this guy. It takes a lot of cunning and guile to make it to the top.

Nailin Palin part 2: Africa & Nafta Boo-boo

It was reported today that Governor Sarah Palin doesn't know that Africa is a continent. (Observers thought she got nailed again) She thought it was country. Of course, she denied the reports saying it is a smear job. Worse, Fox News also said Palin doesn't know the countries in NAFTA. All this information was reportedly leaked by Republicans themselves. Some within party thought she caused McCain's defeat. Tsk. The Fox News reporter revealed more smear jobs or inside reports whichever you prefer to call it are coming.

There's a lot of soul-searching in the Republican Party nowadays but there's a reason to be hopeful. Politics is cyclical. All they need to do is wait for the upcoming Barack Obama screw up - that's the reality in politics.

Don't be afraid of BARACK OBAMA!

Yeah Barack Obama got elected today. Unfortunately for us, he is against OUTSOURCING. This is what he told Los Angeles Times today:

"And I will invest $15 billion a year in renewable sources of energy to create 5 million new energy jobs over the next decade -- jobs that pay well and can't be
outsourced."

Obviously, Obama has a problem with outsourcing. His stand worried the Indians and some of our countrymen. But don't be alarmed. Even if Barack Obama prohibits or limits outsourcing he will only hurt US companies. Today's economic realities will slap Obama in the face if he does that. Outsourcing happens because all companies (at least sane ones) want to minimize costs and maximize profits. It is a natural business consequence. Why would a US company spend $7 an hour to an employee on a minimum wage when they could fork 15 cents an hour in some third world country? It will be a foolhardy decision if Barack Obama insists on his plan. Worse, other European countries are starting to outsource some of their jobs outside the continent. USA really needs to be competitive right now. Obama will be forced to retract his position once business executives complain and the reality of the situation seeps in to his consciousness. Politicians shouldn't interfere with economic realities to please certain constituencies -- its suicide.

Here's the Onion take on Barack Obama's derision towards outsourcing

Will the Philippines benefit from a Barack Obama win?

There are people running their mouths on TV telling everyone our country will benefit from Barack Obama's election. Please get a life. Don't make it obvious that the Philippines is still a US colony. As far as I know US politicians only care and protect the interest of their country and nothing else. When they do help here it is because there's something in it for them.

Barack Obama is no different. He will pursue the interests of the United States. Do they know this guy is against outsourcing? Barack Hussein Obama is even perceived to be a protectionist. I feel sorry for people who think the Philippines will benefit from Obama. Maybe it's time to hold our leaders accountable. What have they been doing all these years? Yes, we know they love kissing American a-- and show strong desire for it but don't they ever get sick of it? Although I do hope Barack will continue to support the Philippine war veterans who fought for the United States back in World War II when he becomes President. Republicans have been fighting hard to prevent Filipino war veterans from receiving their benefits and recognition and tried to pit one group of veterans against another.

What I'm saying is it is wrong to look to a leader of another country to be the answer to our problems! It helps our leaders dodge their responsibility. I can't believe this discussion even came up.

Will the Philippines benefit from a Barack Obama win? NO. It is the United States of America which will benefit from Barack Obama.

With regards to the veterans issue, I fervently hope Barack Obama will help our aging warriors get their due.

WHAT'S WRONG with McCaint? What Straight Talk Express?

What's wrong with John McCain? I hope this is not him being senile (God forbid). Is he lying? I thought all along he's a straight shooter. I think he is being a Republican - like most Republican presidents. How should our own leaders deal with this person if he happens to get elected? Yes, there's only too much butt kissing can do.

More like Straight Talk Express got derailed!

Before you say anything...NO, Barrack Obama is not a saint too. We'll examine Mr. HOPE tomorrow. This guy started to believe in America when it was convenient for him to do so. At least that is the accusation hurled against him by his critics.

The US Presidential elections is two days away and there are indications Obama will win. I don't know how long this guy will last since White nationalists are threatening to cut his term short once elected and I don't mean Barack Obama's resignation.

There are journalists in this country who think US elections is like NIRVANA or something. I'll show later why it isn't.

Nailin Pailin becomes Nailin Paylin!

Hollywood decided to get into the Nailin Pailin bandwagon and made a movie called "Nailin Paylin" loosely based on a woman called Sarah Palin. The video clip is rather titillating to say the least.

The story is something about Sarah Palin or in the movie - Serra Paylin's professor teaching her about the Big Bang theory and throw in Condoleeza Rice and Hilary Clinton lookalikes. Yikes!!!

I'm not surprised at all!

Check out O'Reilly!!! LOL

So who's Nailin Pailin? I surmise:
  1. The Russians?
  2. Condoleeza Rice with Hilary Clinton?
  3. Her professor?
  4. McCaint?
  5. All of them?
I bet you know the answer already anyway.

The Nailin Pailin tag was supposed to embarrass Sarah Palin instead the VP candidate earned sympathy from some women political pundits. It stars Lisa Ann as the lead nailer....

NAILIN PALIN

I've been looking for some clips or videos of Nailin Palin and with painstaking search I've found some. Check this out. Nailin Palin is now the target of the establishment. The problem is some Americans' envy and jealously got into the mix and they joined the Anti-Palin bandwagon. They see her as some Queen Bee or older version of Paris Hilton. They get their ego boost by putting down others. Good or not, it would be better if we concentrate on what this woman is all about - her stand on issues and her past performance whether she could actually talk straight. What struck me with this woman is her reputation back in Alaska. I became wary of her but nothing personal. There is something about her that arouses my suspicion. I wonder why McCain chose her.

Update 10-20-08
You mean Nailin Paylin?

Sarah Palin has serious credibility issues, like most Republicans I guess.

Some British comedian's (if it does exist. Well a comedian has to be funny - that's the main requirement - most British are not) impression of Sarah Palin.

How on earth am I going to know that I'm drinking Greenfood Yili Fresh Milk and Mengniu Drink since I can't read Chinese characters?

I don't even know how these products look like. To be safe, don't drink anything with Chinese characters. Can you blame me? I can't distinguish Da Jia Hao and Ni Hao in Chinese characters so to be safe I'd rather avoid it. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
Melamine causes Kidney troubles.

When it comes to food, I buy well-known products only. For example, there are many soy sauce brands proliferating in the market these days but I only chose the ones made in this country (as if I'm doing the marketing). I got hold of a soy sauce product made in China and it looks like oil! I don't want to get near it.

Don't eat in cheap looking bakery as the ingredients might be from contaminated milk products.
The former Miss Alaska runner-up was engaged on a debate today with Biden but thankfully I didn't care. I prefer the Presidential debate. What's the job of the Vice-President anyway? Well, the Vice-President job is to replace the President in case something bad happens. Some people are actually scared of voting for McCain for this reason LOL.

Team Pilipinas

Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas identified some Team Pilipinas prospective players today. Of course it includes Junmar Fajardo and Gregory Slaughter. No such luck on other Cebuano basketball players though but the list is not yet final anyway.

MCCAINT AND NAILIN PALIN CONVENTION - REPUBLICAN PARTY!!

The coolest Republican?

The Republican National Convention looked like a high school pep rally minus the cheerleaders! There were a lot of balloons and confetti like they won the Superbowl or the World Cup -OH YEAH - this was the Republican PARTY after all. It looks fun with many cosplayers in cowboy hats minus hopefully their guns (NRA RULES!!!). The average age must be 70 years old in that convention.

We have a lot to be thankful for to the REPUBLICAN PARTY. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't be an American colony (Sugar not oil was the reason right Teddy?). We wouldn't have enjoyed the Martial Law so much with 10,000 people damaged as a testament to it (with approval from Reagan the so-called champion of democracy). The Filipino war veterans who fought for America should have been paid their due right now but thanks to overenthusiastic Republican congressmen who blocked it with the excuse money should be better spent somewhere else and then gloriously pitting one group of veterans against another.

Thank you Republican Party!!!

McCain's speech today were filled with these words: defend, fight, war, terrorism, and love of country. It makes me think another war is forthcoming. Hopefully, it will be Iran - in their perspective.

Here is his choice for Vice-President Sarah Palin. She has a stellar resume!

— In her earlier career as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, Palin hired a lobbyist to help the tiny town secure at least 14 earmarks, worth $27 million between 2000-2003. McCain has touted Palin as a force in his long battle against earmarks.

— Under her leadership this year, Alaska asked for almost $300 per person in requests for pet projects from Stevens, one of McCain's top adversaries. That's more than any other state received, per person, from Congress.

— Her husband, Todd, twice registered as a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, a fierce states' rights group that wants to turn all federal lands in Alaska back to the state. Sarah Palin herself never registered as a member of the party, according to state officials, though party members said she attended a 1994 convention with her husband.

— The head of the firm hired to defend Gov. Palin in a state ethics investigation was previously her family's lawyer and is permitted to bill the state up to $95,000 for work in the current case. It involves the dismissal of public safety commissioner Walt Monegan after he refused to fire a state trooper who had divorced the governor's sister.

— Palin opposed the U.S. government's listing of a variety of animals as endangered, including the polar bear and the beluga whale, both of which inhabit areas also rich in oil and natural gas.

— Palin previously acknowledged she smoked marijuana but said in a 2006 interview she no longer used the drug. "I can't claim a Bill Clinton and say that I never inhaled," she said.

Good, she could relate with young voters in the USA.

— Palin sought pork-barrel projects for her city and state, contrary to her reformist image.

— Her husband once belonged to a fringe political group in Alaska with some members supporting succession from the United States.

— A private attorney is authorized to spend $95,000 to defend her against accusations of abuse of power.

— She has acknowledged smoking marijuana in the past.

— And this: Bristol Palin's boyfriend, Levi Johnston, plans to join the family of the Republican vice presidential candidate at the GOP convention, the boy's mother said. He left Alaska on Tuesday morning to join the Palin family in St. Paul, Minn.

Most importantly she's a former Miss Alaska runner up!!!

Some people say she's a typical Republican. I don't know about that!!!

AN ANALYSIS OF PALIN'S CANDIDACY - FOX NEWS SHOULD BE CALLED FOX 360. Watch this.
